a "lucky" bullet
« on: December 23, 2003, 08:11:00 AM »
in 1940 as the british army was evacuating the beaches of dunkirk a young scot named robert kincaid was wounded in the neck. upon examination by a field surgeon it appeared the bullet had passed through the fleshy part of his neck without causing oo much damage. 60 years later he had to have his head X-rayed after falling down. the doctors found a large dark object that didn't belong there. when they opened him up they where shocked to find a FMJ 8MM mauser bullet. it was lodgeed in his neck for over 60 years!!
" oh we didn't sink the bismarck, and we didn't fight at all, we spent our time in Norfolk and we really had a ball. chasing after women while our ship was overhauled, living it up on grapefruit juice and sick bay alcohol"
