I got another 22LR....
« on: March 16, 2011, 11:31:39 AM »
I stopped in a local shop tonight to pick up a couple boxes of 17M2's.

As I walked by the used rack... well it jumped off the rack. It was covered with the sticky-est gun adhesive I have ever seen.  ::) It really began to solidify when I turned the tag over to check the price... It was a little syn stocked SSI Sportster 22LR. The best part is the price,  $129.99. I really tried to put it back...HONEST!!   ::) ::) ::)

Well you know how this ended up.... I took it home. Cleaned the barrel, cleaned the base mounting holes and threw on a base, rings and a old scope. Then I bore sighted it for a trip to the range. Range report another day...

HA HA HA,

I finally got to shoot it tonight. Indoors so only at 50'. But with either CCI blue S.V. or Eley Tenex it shoots pretty good! One hole groups, as is expected from a scoped rifle at such a short distance. BUT, If you remember my other 22LR H&R wouldn't do a golf ball at this range  :o with out the SIMMS De-Resonator. But with it, its the same less then a dime, one hole groups at 50'.

Now I have to decide witch to sell.... I don't need two of these, only needed the receiver. If your interested, watch our classifieds. As per our rules, its NOT for sale here.  ::) ;)
