I have been shooting 230 grain fmj steel case Blazers in my 1911 clone 45.
It fires reliably but I noticed some of the spent steel casings have the leading edge with a small crimp in their leading edges.
Most of the ejected shells are thrown back to my rear at a 45 degree angle.
Do I have a problem or just keep shooting?
Can't say what brass casings do as I have not fired any lately

The case mouth is hitting the ejection port. Most modern 1911 clones have the ejection port opened to prevent this. The Blazer cases are aluminum and are easily deformed. If your gun is functioning properly, I wouldn't sweat the dings.

Thanks folks, I'm glad to hear that I don't hear I have a firearm malfunction. I'll clean the extractor and ejector to remove the possibility of laziness on their part

If you don't reload, don't sweat it. If you do, the ejector can be tuned or replaced. No biggie.
