did  you have to change the front sight  too??

if so

will the  LO-PRO  sight work alone without changing the front sight??
i realise adjustment would be limited

The Lo-Pro 6-48 is a very versitile sight that fits almost any firearm with a
6-48 mounting hole. (Common on almost all guns)

i have a 45-70 shorty [16inch]
and 500 22inch
and a few others[handi]......if i won't have the expence and hassle of changing the front sight

Hello Gov,

I changed the front sight because the plastic gets me kinda wiggy and makes the hair stand up on the back of my  neck...  :)

Plus I like the blade front instead of fiber optics.

I do think the factory front sight would have been about the correct height however.

Let me know if I can be of more help.
