Tyson foods gone muslim

Fox news reported that tyson foods of Shelbyville, Tn has dropped the American Labor Day holiday in favor of the Muslim Holiday of Eid something or another, and apparently the local union went along with it.  What the hell is this crap?  No more tyson chicken for this man.

From what I understand about Tyson, it's probably more to irritate their employees than to do anything pro islam. They may also have a huge contract with an Arab country and this may be a condition of the contract.

True but tyson is not America friendly. Our local tyson chicken processing plant gets busted regularly for hiring illegals. Illegals, muslims, neither one American. POWDERMAN.  >:( >:(

tyson in shelbyville works lots of muslims and they are little muslim communitys in shelbyville so it dont suprise me about anything they do

According to all the websites I looked at, it started in 2008 and appears to be true. There's a bunch of web pages about it. Including local news outlets. It had union influence and the employees lost a paid holiday, Labor Day. They now have guards at the bathrooms and patroling the plant because of a bathroom set on fire and a message on a wall that said "death to all Americans". Employees are afraid of the Somalli Muslims. In fairness, they did not find the person who wrote on the wall or set the bathroom on fire for as far as I read.

To me, it's not that they work there, but that the unions played a role in taking away a paid holiday from the rest of the employees to give it to the Muslims. That's too much multiculturalism for me. This is America, not Somalia. We celebrate American holidays. Or we used to anyways.

From reading snopes, it appears that Tyson and/or the union caved quickly and reinstated the Labor Day holiday. According to the original local reporter. They gave them an extra paid generic holiday to appease everyone.
There is definately some overblown statements on the web pages I looked at.

It still does not ease my concerns about unions endorsment and support of muliculturalism.
"This new contract is good because it allows me to work on the second shift and still pray when I need to," Jama said in the union's press release. "It’s very important to us, and the Eid is one of our most sacred holidays. It shows how the union helps us."

FOX just reported it the way it came from the AP and also included the updates and more details.
