I've left my Tamer 20 stock, fits the purpose I bought it for but the short / light guns recoil has always been an issue...3" shells especially can be punishing. A few yrs ago I picked up a pair of LittleSkeeters 20 to 28 gauge reducers for it...they work great, something you might consider for your wife as there's a big reduction in felt recoil (Brownells sells them). The metal LS mini reducing tubes won't stick but the shells will, just keep that ball bearing handy. I see a lot of people modify their Tamers, liking the barrel length / plating but not so much the furniture...always nice to see a custom, I like those sights...
