RUGER SR9

found an  sr9  saturday shot it today.its not new but only has a few hundred rounds threw it. looks new no scratches or dings tight. shoots better than my old p95 i just like RUGERS.

Generally hard to go wrong with one of them, short of one someone has seriously abused anyway.

when i got this gun its in excellent condition got box it was in but no manual so i looked on the web you will find out most every thing i need to know great web sights.most people don't shot enough to wear them out i have several RUGERS HAD THEM for more than 30 years no problems they are hard to break .same with h@r rifles they have shot real good right out of the box i only had one problem with my buffalo classic the factory put the wrong front sight quickto fixed that problem and told where to get part called the factory and the they couldn't  even understand what i was telling i ordered  laminate forearms from remington parts and told parts man that it had to be for a standard barrel i was sent twice for bull barrel so i called them again.thy said  won't have any till april so i sold the ones they sent me on the classifieds.maybe will get the right one in april.  HAVE A GREAT WEEK END.

I'm actually in the process of trading for a near new SR9.
Kind of looking forward to doing my part in wearing it out.
I sure like the way they look and feel.

I recently traded a 38spec and a little cash for one at a gun show, I love it. it was NIB and had a coupon for a laser sight 1/2 price that had expired, I called them and they honored it. I got the green one. couldn't be happier with it laser sight and all. I didn't have a 9MM but was reloading 9MM for my son and a couple friends, now I get to load for me

I KNOW YOU WILL LIKE YOUR SR9 MINE SHOOTS GOOD .NO STOVE PIPES LIKE MY OLD P95  I  SOLD TO GET THE RUGER SR9 NO MORE STOVE PIPES.I FOUND OUT FAST PMC AMMO IS JUNK DIDN'T SHOOT ACCURATE IN MY AR 15 DIDN'T COMPARE TO MY RELOADS.GOOD LUCK WITH YOURS.WILL LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR RESULTS . I recently shot an SR9 too.  Very ergonomic - very, very nice trigger for a striker-fired gun too.  Was fairly accurate for me.  Overall, I really liked it and think one might be in my future.  Only downside that I didn't like was that it felt extra plasticy.  I've already got a P95 and and LCP - the LCP's polymer always felt cheaper compared to the P95, but I assumed that was due to it's small size.   The SR9 has that same feel as the LCP though.  Probably nothing bad - just something for me to get used to.

Lately though I've been shooting my revolvers a bit more at the range (really been stepping up my range time and since I'm reloading more to keep the costs down, the brass is just easier to keep track of).  As such either an H&R 732 in .32 S&W or a Ruger Security Six in .357 Mag have kinda floated to the top of my wish list.

i went to the range yesterday again i am real pleased with my sr9 can't see the front sight very good bad lighting in door range. groups ok but i know i can do better shooting out doors. know what you mean about the plastic feel not like my revolvers or 1911 but they sure are lighter i haven't reloaded for the 9mm yet but i have got plenty of brass ready to go. you have a great day have fun wth your sr9.

The trigger is slightly better on my M&P and it shoots tighter, but the SR9 gets the bulk of the range time because it just feels better in my hand and points more naturally.  Point shooting is completely instinctive like it should be and never a hiccup other than some of my early reloads which just didn't have enough poop to cycle the action.  The only detractor is that finding a left handed holster is almost impossible.

+1 on instinctive shooting and pointing i have a air soft gun 1911 i shoot in my man cave.also with my real 45 out doors range.a lot faster than trying to find a sight picture.
