Gunning and running??
« on: December 26, 2003, 10:25:47 AM »
I knew it was done from a boat but I was seening my fishing buddies doing it this past summer in the few local spots we have from shore?? One makes two or three casts turns up nothing and runs to the next place to repeat.  I look and laugh because i know the bass are there and laughing too when he leaves!!!!!!  Like i have learned and taught many times its a matter of picking the right pattern then matching it to the correct presentation is the key to success!!!  Why do so many stay with the same bait and catch nothing?? And they carry a tacklebox full of stuff and don't try another bait??  When the pattern changes which I have seen many times I like switching baits till something works its the CHALLANGE that is the most fun to out smart that little pea sized brain.  Why do so many just give up???  The only thing that makes me leave after two hours of trying in the mornings is those blueberry pancakes I have waiting for me when I get home!!!!  Its not the catching nothing that makes me leave.   I have even thought of taking my coleman stove and cooking there while I fish too!!  How much better could life get?? Bass  Fishing with a fresh stack of blueberry pancakes??  I'm going to get the only bass boat with a kitchen on board??  Don't forget I don't eat before I go fishing when the weather is nice I'm up at 3:30am and out way before anything is open plus I have stopped at Dunkin Dounuts and have had it become light it took so long.  I hate getting to my spot in the daylite its too late to ambush the big bass in the shallows.                        BigBill
