where you pulled the knob out and had fresh air comin in from under the dash.  Last car I had that had em was a 70 Nova.

At least now my old Ford truck and Bronco have those triangle windows, those help.

Nothing like going down the road and opening one of those things and go blind from the dirt in your eyes.
I do like old things like that.

Can't say I miss them so much.  Old Dodge truck I had hadn't had them opened all winter until late in the spring.  Slid the driver's side open at about 70 to find a bunch of big red wasp had claimed that duct as their home.  I almost bailed out and let them keep it.  No, don't miss um much at all.

My '63 Landcruiser has the kick open vents.  Puts the fresh air right up your pant leg for the ultimate in cooling if ya know what I mean.

I reckon it could under the right circumstances put a batch of hornets up your pant leg too.  That might put a damper on the day.  Anyhow, Ive often thought I would like'em on my Dodge truck too.

my first brand new care was a 73 340 duster. It had those little doors to open for vents. We found out fast that they were an excellent place to hide your beer when the law pulled you over.

My first brand new car was a 69 Chevelle. Man those two door hardtop windows leaked air between the front and back side windows while goin down the road. The 55s thru 58s were worse. But, everybody but me, wants'em. :-\

Not everyone. I never cared for the Chevelle when it was new and still don't. I have a son-in-law that starts slobberin' every time he sees one though.

If I were gonna do the old muscle car thing now, it would most likely be either a 66 GTO, or a 65 Mustang. But! I had rather have something with a warranty.

The wing vent windows are what I really miss. Running with the windows open is mot a lot of fun since they eliminated those, all the wind hits you right in the ear. The add on wind deflectors that fit in the window channel help a lot.

I have one of the Japanese K trucks and it has the separate floor vents.

I also miss the vent windows. A very useful addition to driving.

Dee you might laugh at me but ive had many muscle cars in the past. Mostly gm and mopar and if i could have only one of them back today it would be my 87 buick grand national. It was as quick or quicker then any of them. rode like a cadilac got 23 mpg with the air on and alothough it wasnt a race car in the corners it outhandled any of my old muscle cars, even the older cameros. Now today if I really had the money id probably be looking at one of the new cameros or challengers. they are hands down better perfromance cars then ANYTHING made in the past. That new camero has about twice the rear wheel hp my old 69 302 z did.
