Stocks for 10/22's
« on: April 10, 2011, 05:43:05 AM »
Anyone on the forum have any idea where a Butler creek  stock for a standard 10/22 barrel can be found? Every retailer on the internet has them for the bull barrels, but it appears they have quit making them for the standard barrel.

Hogue makes a decent stock that works well with stock 1022s.

Don't like the grabby feel of the Hogue stock. Butler creek did make a hard plastic stock that fit the reg. 10/22 rifle  barrel, not the short carbine one, but now all anyone stocks is the one for the target barrel.

Factory synthetic stocks can be picked up off of Gunbroker for cheap.
I put a Tapco stock on one of mine it's not a bad stock and the grandkids love it.

Email these folks to make sure it is for a sporter barrel. BTW 10-22 sporter stocks are target channel near the receiver then taper towards the muzzle. I have a target stock with sporter barrel and it doesn't look off in any way. Just looks like an overstated free float. Hop around on the shooters discount page and you may find what you are looking for if the link is not it. They are pretty good folks and will probably find what you need if you correspond with them. Another source may be rimfire central in their classifieds section.
