BIG GRIPS
« on: April 10, 2011, 03:50:02 AM »
My 586 has big grips--and I like them.
Wish I could find some the same size for the Model 28 and 22 in wood or other material than rubber.
Blessings

You might want to look at a few of the styles made by Herrett's (Herretts-stocks.com).

They make the Roper style, a favorite of Skeeter Skelton, and the Jordan Trooper style (similar in design, but slightly larger w/covered backstrap).  Both of them knew a thing or two about handguns - and were two of my all time favorite gun writers.

From watching Jerry Miculek on TV it appears he uses grips similar to the two above.  He's also had a smidgeon of success using S&W N frames!

Give us a picture, Bill? Shouldn't be too hard to locate.
