Latch shelf catch depth
« on: April 01, 2011, 01:03:19 PM »
What's a good measurement on the depth the latch catches the shelf?  Been working on the maxi, it's still popping open some.  Looks like I have about .050

Bobby,

There's a reference mark on the side of the latch on late model barrels that H&R uses to check latch engagement thru the view port, there are pics in the FAQs barrel fitting of a couple of my barrels thru the view port that will give you and idea of how much engagement is correct, .050" would be a minimum, .060" to .080" would be better.
