Versa Pack outfit
« on: March 30, 2011, 10:41:57 PM »
It's a shame to see one of these sets go for a decent price on Gunbroker and then turn up here for huge money. ::) $350 bucks for a set that sold brand new for $115 at Wal Mart. Really?? This is the kind of intentional overpricing that's killing the used Handi market.
It's sad really.

FWIW... you can still buy a Rossi 22/410 outfit at Wal Mart for $115. ;)

I paid 148$ each for two sets at a regular gun store not china-mart..That was the price take it or leave it ..about 4 years ago :(..Two years ago this month, I saw a set at a gunshow for 238$ ???...Same gunshow this year there was not even one set to be had at any price..I wish they had never discontinued them as they are a great starter package for kids and smaller stature d people(read women).
That said I wouldn't sell either one of our sets(one NIB,unfired)Unless someone was jonesing so bad they offered so much I couldn't refuse it. ;D Person owns something they have the RIGHT to ask any amount for it IMHO they wish..Everyone else has the right to buy or not buy as they wish.. ;)
Lost between sunrise and sunset yesterday-one golden hour...never to be found or reclaimed:-(

I had a friend get miffed when I offered to sell him (he asked) 'something' for half of what it was worth on the open market; he remembered what I had paid for it and thought he 'should' get it for that.
Funny thing is that he would get 'top dollar' for everthing he sold.
Sure wish somebody would sell me some gold for $38/oz.
