Looking for Flat base lead bullets for sale...
« on: April 20, 2011, 04:38:35 PM »
Spent the last hour searching for flat base .45 bullets for 45LC and 45-70.  They're all bevel base for sale.  Even the 'best' like laser cast, Dardas, Moyer.

Who makes flat base for sale please?  Need some until I get good at casting well.

Sorry if this is overly repeated query.

Most but not all commercial bullet casters use the same bullet molds to produce there cast bullets that's pretty much why they all look the same on each site.

Here are a few different ones.

Web site appears to be down but you can contact him via email or in the vendors section of cast bullets,he makes all kinds of custom rifle and pistol bullets.

Thanks.  Went over to Cast Bollits and Cast Bullet Assn where I should have started after I posted here and found some info.  Rimrock I hadn't heard of, but I think of Bullshot only for the mold info and lube.  Should have known better.

So yours is good help.  I appreciate it.

In the 1920's "sheeple" was a term coined by the National Socialist Party in Germany to describe people that would not vote for Hitler. In the 1930's they held Hitler as the only one that would bring pride back to Germany and bring the budget and economy back.....

He has a few:

I think the reason you don't see too many commercial casters making square base bullets is the same reason they put such hard lube on them. They don't ship well. Unless they are packaged in styrofoam trays so they can't touch each other, they are going to get nicked up. Then the customer is angry and the caster has a big headache. Better to only ship bevel base designs and reduce the hassles.
