« on: January 21, 2006, 06:38:39 AM »
FOLKS,
Does anyone load for the 22K HORNET ?
I would like to shoot some 35gr VMAX bullets & can find very little data on any of the 22 K Hornet loads.

I need an education in the K-Hornet.  I have heard it refered to on occasion in various publications and on shooting forums but I failed to pay much attention.
Is it built on the same brass?  Can you get factory brass?  What can be expected generally in ballistics? Do you ream out an existing 22 hornet to accomadate the K?
Thanks in advance and if there is a good link to answer these questions, that would work fine.  Always looking for an outside the box solution for shooting problems I do not really have.  Lifeis good, Gary

You do you the same brass for forming, we sell it pre formed as well as the loaded ammunition so it is available. Most folks see a 100-200FPS advantage depending on the bullet and powder. You can use an existing .22 Hornet chamber and ream to the K-hornet, though that would not be my first choice.
