In 270 win. if you go from 130 to 150 grain ,do you lose alot in velocity and do you gain all that much with the bigger bullet.
I enjoy collecting guns, swaping and staying up on all the newest models. I deer, quail, squirrel and rabbit hunt.

My experience with both on deer is that both kill equally well. The 150 grain blows through but expends less of its energy than the 130, but both are plenty effective. I use the 130 more often because it is more than adequate for Texas whitetails and hogs, and the recoil is just a tad less. There is a velocity difference, and this results in a slight difference in trajectory that is all but unnoticeable under 300 yards. I have never shot that far at a deer, so I consider it academic. However, you might find it important, so I thought I'd mention it.
There is no more humbling experience for man than to be fully immersed in nature's artistry.

I've never shot a 130 in the .270. Only 140s and 150s. You really gain nothing in my opinion with the 130s. If you check the trajectory charts you'll see that the real world difference even way out at 300 yards where dang few have any business shooting anyway is maybe an inch. I can't see an inch at 300 yards and haven't ever taken a shot at game much if any over 200 anyway.
