Krieghoff Insert Barrel Installation
«

I finally go to the Krieghoff barrel insert and reading the instructions there is talk of milling.
Has anyone installed the Krieghoff insert? Is there milling? Should it be done by a gun smith?
thanks

I talked to my drilling smith and the barrel insert is off to him to install on the Funk drilling he is working on. The is metal cutting involved to fit the insert...

Well, you don't "have" to, but having a cut in the extractor guarantees that it will go back in the exact same way each time it's inserted.

JJ was working on the Funk and the barrel insert is not that much more. Plus he did a great job mounting the insert on the Sauer drilling.
