.257 Roberts casing question....

   Haven`t reloaded for years. I have around 40 winchester + P casings and around 50 Remington casings. I have settled on trying Speer Hot-Cor 100 gr. Spitzers. Going to load them using 46grs. of IMR 4350 and CCI primers. Question is, can I reload all the casings the same way? Or, will the +P casings shoot different??? Sure don`t want to blow my 7600 or me up!!! Thanks in advance....

I would guess that the +P cases are heaver and would have a smaller capicity. While they might still be safe with the same load they would be faster.

Simply fill one case of each brand with gunpowder and weigh each one of them to see how many grains of powder they hold.   If they hold within 1/2 grain of each other capacity wise,  I would not worry about keeping them separate and having to work up two different loads due to powder capacity differences in the brass.

Most of the time when you mix brands/makes of cases they will not shoot to the same POI. You may get great groups using the same powder charge and everything else but they usually will not shoot to the same POI if you mix them.
