out stumping pics
« on: April 15, 2011, 08:20:41 AM »
:D ;D it was beautiful in the turkey woods today
watched the woods wake up B E A utiful sat in a blow down blind
left a few calls out and put it away 20 minutes later i herd a faint yelp then a gobble
i watched the hen go buy then the tom no strut but wow it was cool big ol beard
i just kept thinking 2 more weeks i would be carrying  a big ol bird shot with a 35# fiberglass camp bow  :P
i sat there for about 30 minutes so i did not spook them
my camera is junk could not get a pic of them glare shake brush zoom in zoom out just could not get a pic  >:(
but any way got my big @^$ out of the blow down should have got a pic of it next trip
watched a ground hog for a bit thought about shooting it but left it go it was stump season and i got him good
1 complete pass through 357 with rubber blunt over 1 to the end of the feathers just 357 shell and a bouncer just rubber blunt @ 20  6'4" fat guy strides = yards  :P ;D
shot a bunch today i need a real bow. its time to start thinning the herd of stuff to get a flock of new stuff
i shot the bow today with the kwiki clamp on 4 arrow quiver full of aluminum arrows just to see how it was
it was great . i carried the fluflus in the hip quiver put my $3 man purse on my back loaded like i was hunting it all came together today.  im a happy camper with a ol camp bow.  i need to get some silencers looking at dyneema rope they are called dyna puffs look like there the good stuff we shall see soon
so theres my best stump shot so far plenty to come im sure . its going to rain till mid next week so next stump day will be hump day

just got camo limb skins in the mail today for it now its camo instead of blue. going to get a sure grip and put it on to thicken up the grip a bit.  a black super fiber self stick sheet and put some on the riser to quiet it down.  it says 25,000 rubs  ::) . the carbons make to much noise on the fiberglass and there will be plenty to do the bearcat string grooves.  and maybe enough to cut around the hair rest and do the riser on it also. the better half is no liking this hobbie so far but after the inital set up its not that bad as in buying stuff after you get it . i told her at least i dont have to buy arrows like shells  ;) ;D they last longer if you do your part . she dosent get it but im going to  ;D
maybe ill float this one soon too ;)

this is my clearwater design algonquin smooth water canoe theres another hobbie/addiction

. shot like i did last month today but it was fun any way . made me think slow down breath relax it helped but still not a good shooting day for me maybe next time.
good exersize cause im extra sized  ;D wood were wet stumps were soft no broken or lost arrows today great morning in the woods
heading to camp tomorrow afternoon then to buddys farm for a stump turkey scout day if the rain stays away if not dinner with friends in the hollar.
