OK, I have changed my mind! Didn't really like long barrel,,

,,,pistols. Kinda a CC type guy. However I took my boss by my gun guy today and he saw a Dan Wesson .357 Revolver.
It had about an 8 or 10 inch barrel on it and and had .357 Mag CTG on the barrel. I was told that one could get various barrel lengths that will interchange.
The serial number was 2378XX. It was in beautiful condition. Blueing was perfect, rifling and bore clean as a pin etc.
It shot with very little recoil shooting .357 loads and was totally accurate at 50 yards.
I really like that big gun.
Can anyone tell me more about it. What is the Model Number, the 'born on' date and whether it is going to be difficult to get another one like it. He paid $275.00 total walk out for it.
Little help here as I may have fallen in love.
Thanks for any help.
My aim is to hit what I am shooting at!

I have Dan Wessons in 357 mag, 44 mag, and 445 Supermag.  I have also recently converted a Marlin 444P to 445 Supermag as a companion for my big revolver.   I love Dan Wessons in every caliber.  They are accurate, rugged, and STRONG in the extreme.  Although I have owned and do own other revolvers by other fine makers and I do not take anything away from Ruger, Smith& Wesson, Taurus, and others, but Dan Wesson is THE revolver to own if you really want the best most versatile revolver for the least money.  You will find plenty of them on gunbroker.com and auctionarms.com.  I can usually find good deals on them at local gun shops and pawn shops.  I have bought DW 357's and given them to my son's as they have married and become the chief defenders of their own homes.  I guess that is about as high as I can go in praising any gun.
