lee 459-500-3r 1000 yard bullet?

Some time in the near future I would like to shoot my 45-70 buffalo classic out to a 1000 yards not competitively but just for fun and I want to Know is the Lee 459-500-3r bullet a good choice for a 1000 yard round? Someone said in another forum:
 
  "I've used it, and its a good bullet out to 400 yds, fair to 500, and beyond that it can have some serious stablility problems, so much so that a load that will shoot moa at 200 will be lucky to land 1 in 10 on a 1000yd target."
 
 Any opinions?
 
 also what are your favorite loads out to 1000 yards?

Only smokeless loads please.

That was me that said, that. It came from many hundreds of rounds down range with the thing. Out to 500 yds it can work alright but beyond that it's a crap shoot, especially if there's a bit of wind.
 Take a look at the Saeco 645, it's working quite well to 1000 yds in all sorts of adversed conditions.
 Work your smokeless loads up with 5744 using standard pressure powde charges.
 Your biggest challenge shooting a handi to that distance is sights that have the repeatability, with it's hinged barrel to be able to stay on a target at 1000 yds.

I honestly have no desire to cast my own bullets as of right now so I'm looking to buy something for smokeless loads from here:

Dave has the saeco 645 bullet on his list. That's a good bullet in the 45-70
