FA sight material - stainless?
«

Heading to Alaska shortly for a backpacking trip and I am wondering if I need to be worrying about rust on my FA 83 sights. Anyone know if these are blackened stainless or carbon? The forecast is for rain...
Thanks in advance,
Mike

They are carbon steel. Wipe a little oil on them when you come in at night. Always plan on rain in Alaska, because you'll get it. Do your best to dry your holster out at night. Stuffing some newspaper in it works pretty well.
