any one making portfire inserts. for use in live fire??? i have lots of slow match but i likethe idea of portfire.

nope they have alot of good stuff but no portfire.

Since he was looking for the insert part, I was talking about a regular brick and mortar store.

I've noticed that some British fireworks sellers offer portfires, but this doesn't impress me as being a very cost effective method of igniting artillery. http://www.ghengisfireworks.co.uk/Product/609/portfires-firework-lighters.aspx

Here's an article from 'The Artilleryman' magazine' (fall 2004) in which the author gives his formula for making portfires.
