What be this 20" light barrel Ye speak of? Is there a flashlight attached? I don't see it on the website. Do we need Brians home address to get these special barrels or do we send our frames to you and have you send them in for GOODIES
Sounds like you have a nice new toy Tim, and it was Quicktdone ENJOY!

I also found out Brian is a very helpful asset to H&R. Thanks

Somehow you sneaked that in on me cause I looked not too long ago. The older you get the faster it goes ;D
Tim, will they still fit barrels if we just send the frames? I know you mentioned they did in the past and now they "MAY" charge to put a stock on to fit it. Whatcha Know??

Thanks Mike

Are these the same contour as the 223 & 243 Superlites? Love My 223 :-*

They will if you order a stock set too, I haven't sent a stock with a frame for years, always order a stock set, just send the frame in a small flat rate priority box for less than $8 insured, they have it in two days, pretty hard to beat that too.  ;) The barrel is similar to the contour of the 223 and 243 Superlight.

What does the "new" lightweight 7-08 weigh compared to the standard 22" ones?

On my 70lb digital postal scale, the 20" barrel weighs 2lbs-10½oz, the standard 22" 7mm-08 barrel weights 3lbs-8½oz.

Thanks. Just wondering if cutting the newer style to 16 1/2" would make me fall in love with my shorty all over again.

The Superlights aren't just shorter, they're much slimmer in contour from just in front of the barrel swell to the smaller muzzle.
