Watertown area gunshops?
« on: May 16, 2011, 11:10:23 AM »
Anyone know any gun shops in the Watertown area??  I am going to visit family in a couple months and want to go shopping if there are any shops around.  I love browsing the shelfs for older cheap firearms and maybe some that need a little TLC.
My biggest fear in life is dying and my wife selling my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

Older and cheap might be a problem. I've bought several guns from VanTassels, Herb Philipsons, & T.I. Bait store by the Thousand Islands Bridge. At Van Tassels and T.I. Bait store, you can actually walk over, pick up a rifle and examine it. At Gander MTN, most are behind the counter, and if you can get somebody's attention, they may get one down and show it to you, if they are not too busy talking with each other.
There are scattered shops around in Carthage, Copenhagen, Dexter and smaller places, mom and pop type.  Hope this helps.
