I did talk to the City mayor today.  He agreed with me.  He is looking into the incident.  there has been a lot of complaints about this officer.  He is the one that also arrested the kid for playing on the ice.

Sourdough, I wonder if the Fairbanks forces are jittery with the arrest of those militia guys - Cox etc?

Or given your son was headed to campus with cocked gun, maybe this poorly informed officer(s) was reading more into it.

Oh, I see  you just put up another post - sounds like you have a concerned mayor - good to see.  IN the past some of your city leaders haven't been of the best caliber.

Hope you get a good response.  That police behavior was REALLY strange.  Surely there are bigger fish to fry in Fairbanks.

I read about the ice incident.  Lately I've been reading the News Miner - more Alaska news than the ADN in Los Anchorage.

This whole thread has been a good read.  I have the ccw but I don't carry most of the time  in our tiny town and I tend to forget all the rules.
