Missed a day at the range
« on: May 15, 2011, 04:47:05 PM »
Every Wednesday for the last few months, I leave work and head to the range; shoot from about 5 to 7 pm.  The range is a 100 yard strip carved out of dense woods with a hillside backstop.  The 60 foot pines  and thick privet on either side provide shade and keep the wind down.
Wednesday April 27 was our 26th wedding anniversary and we were on a trip to the beach, so I missed my trip to the range that day. About 6 pm, an F5 tornado passed by. Glad I was at the beach.
Today was the first day Range 7 was back open.
Pleasant Grove is no longer pleasant or a grove.
This is the one that went through Tuscaloosa.

Congrats on the 26 years.
Also glad to hear your wife kept you out of the tornado's path.

Look on the bright side: the bench & roof is still there. but ouch.
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

It goes to show you that the little woman was right.  ;) Forget your anniversary at your own peril!  :o

Congrats on the 26 years.
