Lever safety on the left?

The top still looks like the rifle selecter.

Nice piece.

Cheers

I like drillings and have one.  Tell us more about it when you can.

What does it weigh, chokes, scope mount bases on top of barrels, barrel length?

The 16ga chambers may be the European short length.

Great guns, there should be more of them.  Use it on grouse when  the bear season is also open.

The Drilling is a Funk Factory 100 year celebration drilling.  The Funk factory's 100 years celebrations were held in 1935 and this drilling is proofed in July same year.  It is probably one of the very first made and that could be an explanation for the safety, that is quite different from the the "normal" safety on a "Jubiläumsdrilling".  The safe-type on your piece looks like a safe used by Funk on sidelock-drillings.

Page 3 of the attached pdf has the original ad for the Jubiläumsdrilling.  The Funk enpert in europe knows of 6 other drillings like this: One in Chech Rep. - 2 in Austria, 1 in Germany, 1 in Sweden.

The mounts are Semper Krieghoff Montage.  JJ at Champlin is going to modify a set of modern ring mounts to fit the bases.   The caliber is 8x72R.  The shotgun bores are going to be opened to 2.75 inches and the chokes opened.  The gun was off face and needs some work to get it back on face.
