I have no knowledge about the Wisc business.
At my school the union pretty much just does the negoiated contract stuff.
Non-union members get a say in all that happens.
Many times the union proposal gets shot down.
To paint all teachers with such a broad brush is rather simplistic.
As for why you never see non-union teachers speaking out, well that's not newsworhty evidently.
