Scope for a browning blr ?
« on: May 05, 2011, 01:34:24 PM »
I can't spend a lot of money but need a scope for my BLR. the front bell on any scope I've tried hits the rear sight on the bbl. I know I can take the sight off but I would rather have it on just in case. Any suggestions appreciated.

You might look at a Burris Timberline.  They're small scopes and pretty inexpensive.  I think the 3x9 is only a 32 mm objective lens and the 2x7 is smaller still.

I have a Leupold Vari-X Compact 2-7x28 on my M81 BLR, it worked fine with the sight installed, although I did remove the sight after I removed the front sight, didn't like seeing the front sight sticking up in the field of view on 2x!  ???

Country Boy,

Any 20mm scope should work in low rings. If you want a larger scope just use higher rings.
