JMHO, who ever put that bipod on it, really ruined the looks of a fine rifle. Bipods are fine on plastic rifles, but to ruin a fine piece of wood is blasphemous. Use a shooting stick if you have to have to use a prop. Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack your post, but I hate to see a classic rifle bastardized.
You have a classic to be proud of. Enjoyed seeing the pics. I would keep the Alaskan scope on it, of course it depends on what you are planning on hunting.
