Help ID Mil Brass
« on: May 13, 2011, 10:32:19 AM »
I have been given a lot of Mil brass.  It has different head stamps.  Some are RA, IVI, WRA, FC and LC with different years stamped on them.  I am guessing the LC is for Lake City.  What are the other stamps?  Are any supposed to be better than others?

Thanks for the help.

I think ?  IVI is canadian. I know you can google the headstamp and find out where it was made,

Thanks for the infor.  All of the brass is from Camp Perry in late 60's or early 70's.  It should be safe to use.

Just a word of warning.  If this brass is from the 60s and 70s it will be of greatly reduced capacity compared to todays brass and loads will have to be reduced accordingly.

RA = Remington arms
IVI = Industries Valcartier Inc.
WRA = Winchester Repeating Arms
FC = Federal Cartridge
LC = Lake City Armory

Hope this helps.
