Did anybody but me watch this great program?? It's been on PBS since Sun night. Very informative, I learned a lot. POWDERMAN.  ;D ;D

Same here.  I believe they did a pretty good job with the history for the most part.  Lot's of M. Brady's photos you seldom see on TV.

I have the DVD set and IMHO, that series was one of the best things on TV ever.  I especially like the Author Shelby Foote.  He is a wealth of knowledge.

It was excellent, one of PBS' crown jewels. I've got it on my hard drive.

Folk who carp about PBS & NPR rarely mention their really good stuff, and Burns' program is really good.
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

It is a very good series, I wish PBS would do more like it.  The people who carp about PBS/NPR do so about the very slanted editorial and news bias.  Anti gun, anti-religion (maybe more accurately anti-Christian), and generally anti-America.  Kind of a Daily Kos-lite.

I like it but I feel it's a little one sided.  Of course it's Public Television.
