Sourdough your opinion comes from experience, not ideology. I worked Mexican neighborhoods, Mexican gangs, and Mexican migrant workers. I also ran search warrants on Mexicans that were cashing in on Texas social services and playing the social services system like a cheap guitar. They were in it for the money and were robbing AMERICAN CITIZENS of what they had paid taxes for their entire lives.
On numerous occasions when my dad was still living he would have to be taken to the hospital emergency room in the wee hours of the morning. The emergency room AS USUAL was filled to capacity with ILLEGALS getting free treatment for problems ranging from common colds, to flu, and wanting, AND GETTING free medication. Dad was in there once laying on a gurney having a heart attack in a hallway, while a young Mexican couple was there getting a FREE SIX WEEKS CHECKUP for their baby AT THREE IN THE MORNING.
At the present time, I am holding the note on a Mexican man that bought a house from me, and I financed the deal MYSELF out of MY pocket. His requirement was to be here legally and he was. He made the down payment, maintains his homeowners ins. and pays his taxes. He makes every payment to me a month in advance, and take care of his family.
One here, likes to talk about other folks, and is at the present railing about my Christianity, or in his opinion LACK THERE OF. What I think he really likes to do is hear himself talk, or in this case type. He is condescending, self-righteous, and CLUELESS about the real world of illegals. I dealt with them almost every day for a living, for over 20 years, and here in Texas you get all you want of the illegals and their wake of problems they leave behind them. I am as your are, a "REALIST", and he is an "IDEALIST". If you were to take him down on the border, are in some areas around here, and turn him out, the illegals would chew him up and spit him out. Which by the way is not a bad idea.
