Those lawn ornaments are dangerous. Maybe this one fell on somebody and needed to be stopped from doing it again. The police department is now considering arming cops with jack hammers.

That's a good one, wish i could have seen the Cops faces.

Every couple of years an old Homesteader will kill a bull moose out the Rex Trail.  He will then place the hide, complete with head and rack on a pole about 50 to 75 yards from the trail.  Then he will sit on his porch across the trail and laugh at all the hunters that come along and shoot the already dead Moose.  Usually after the fifth or sixth shot the shooter will figure something is wrong.

Arent alligators a protected species? No one was in "imminent danger", so why did they decide to shoot instead of calling animal controll? Why were the officers not named/diciplined etc? Why did they just leave without even an explanation to the owner? Destruction of private property IS ILLEGAL!!! Police not accountable I guess. These are the same  mental giants who will tell the media that it's the CITIZENS that need to have their gun rights infringed!!! Our tax dollars at work you all. And finally, after seeing the video, who out there would have a problem telling the difference between that and a REAL gator?!?!?!?

I've got to wonder... what kind of legal trouble might I be in, should I decide to unload on someone's ornamental alligator in their yard? Might I be charged with shooting in city limits? To close to a dwelling? Would I get arrested - maybe even have weapons pointed at me while some Stormtroopers yelled at me to get on the ground? All very real possibilities.

Or maybe I could just... leave.

You idiot - it wasn't destruction of private property, it was officer safety. Never forget, that covers just about everything...

Right on fellas!!! Just one more example of how police abuse their power indiscrimanantly and walk away from it, while if it were you or I, we would be looking at prison time and the loss of our rights to own firearms forever! Well, what can the average guy do? :'(
