Is the supply of pre-bancruptcy Toppers drying up?
« on: June 05, 2011, 05:22:11 PM »
As one who has a great appreciation of the old slim profile barreled Topper, I am not seeing many out there anymore. I was all set in the spring to go pick one up from a gun store 1 1/2 hours from here but the counter guy sold it by mistake after I agreed to purchase it. An honest mistake and they were truly sorry about the mix-up.

So my quest continues for another 30-30 Topper to fix up for one of my grandsons. You fellas seeing any in your areas?

Still a few around. The trouble is, there's alot of guys like me going thru our 2nd "adolescence" and want the stuff back from our childhood that we sold for the latest greatest thing.  And when I/we see a topper in 30/30 or 22 Hornet it gets picked up right now.  Tho i wont spend more than $200 unless it has an extra barrel or 2 with it.
