Jay, you probably need to begin at 25yds. I have had to walk downrange and shoot at 10 or 12 yds to find a hole. From there you can verify and correct at 50yds. If you have 100yds you should use it.
If you need to sight at 150 or 200 and only have 100 you should use
www.jbmballistics.comYou can select your bullet from the library. You need to supply a known (or good guess) muzzle velocity. Set up the remainder of the program, ignoring the wind for now. Set your desired sight in at 150yds. Look at where your bullet is at 100yds. Do the same for 200yds. You can go back through it and change parameters as needed.
Shooting at 100yds, create an aiming point, measure up the distance given by the program and mark an impact point. Knowing that you have a 100yd zero and its scope setting, adjust the required clicks up to hit your impact point. If you need 200yds, measure and add the needed clicks.
After a few sessions you'll like jbm. You should shoot to confirm the program. Keep notes. rp
