Looks good, but you are limited on elevation...... I guess you could use wedges under the front end.....
I find it impossible to ignore that "thunder mugs" approximate interchangeable chambers for early breechloading cannon beginning in the 1400s.
I think he may be making more of an observation than a point - one along the lines of maybe making a thunder mug/breechblock cannon combo.
I sometimes shoot my thunder mugs like a mortar by sitting them on top of a wedge shaped wooden base. I'm not really trying for distance or accuracy as long as I can drop them in the lake and see the splash.
