I saw on the news the other day that the mennonites want the Star spangled banner banned from sporting events at a college because it contains violent words. They suggested America the beautiful instead, and the university was going to go along with it. I was shocked. Anybody have a link?? POWDERMAN.  ??? ???

The local ones go to Ground Zero every 9/11 to pray and sing. Good folks. Nice furniture makers too.

Violence bought them the freedom to practice what ever religion they please.
And the freedom to be ungrateful as well.

PAT. Very true. Every freedom we enjoy was bought and paid for by American blood. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

No offense to the mennonites , but they need to sit down and shut up, and be thankful they can live in the US unmolested! There are so few mennonites that they aren't even considered a minority!

I almost forgot, find those woosy college administrators and tie them up by their heels in the town square.

Mennonites engaging in civil discourse is discouraged. They feel if we wish to be damned thats OK. That whole story may be a sham.

I find it rather odd that they want to ban a 'song' with violent words while they don't mind sitting through a sport that is so violent that individuals are maimed and even killed every year while participating in it.
And, by the way, their furniture isn't that well made.  I visited a Mennonite furniture store in Texas and looked it over really good.  The drawers on their chests weren't even made with dovetail joints.  May as well go to Sears.
Thanks for the stump
