Ruger 10/22 22 Magnum Jams
« on: January 02, 2004, 01:39:35 PM »
My 10/22 has been jamming up since I've gotten it.  Has anyone heard if Ruger has recalled it for this problem yet?  Has anyone developed a quick fix for this problem?

Thanks

I don't have a 10/22 but with any detachable magazine fed firearm with jamming problems, the first thing I always do is try another magazine. You could fire the firearm with the magazine removed after chambering a round and see if it still jams. Dave

NHANG, Ruger did have an extraction problem with the single extractor 10/22 Mags. The newer 10/22 Mags have dual extractors to help in correcting this problem. Take a look on this site, under 10/22 Mag, for more info on this issue.  http://rimfirecentral.com/forums/index.php
