Mamacita! It's broiling hot all of a sudden. 95 in Minnesota, over 100 in Southern Alabama. It's not localized. I'm seeing some hawt temps in most places I watch.

Are you getting unseasonably hot weather?

We've been setting new record highs for the date in towns all over the state. I saw a few days ago it was 100 in DC must be all the hot air congress is putting out.

  Been some strange weather in my part of NY. Two weeks ago highs in the low 50s and rain every day. Went from that to highs in the low 70s and no rain. 80 here yesterday afternoon. They are predicting a couple days of 80 maybe 90 and then back down in the 70s for the week end.

It's happening around here to. Suppose to get into the mid to high 90's today. Were getting July and August weather now. Just got my garden planted, as the month of May here in Ohio, was the second or third wettest month on record, and the farmer is just now, as I'm typing this,across the street, working the field. I think spring here in northern Ohio was last Thursday. Now we're into summer already. Probably have to start hauling water for the garden pretty soon. gypsyman

We had a day of spring here in western Maryland as well, shame I missed it!  Wettest and with the heaviest rain I can remember.  It's put us a month behind in field work. We had a 3 day window first of May and got about 130 ac of haylage in that tested about as good as it gets. Then cool and rain every three days for the next 3 1/2 weeks. Pushed hard and got almost all the corn in by Memorial day in a stretch of high 90's and dry. Knew it was hot, glad I didn't know how hot until I finished for the night. A week of dawn to 10PM or so on an open station tractor made me feel older than I am. Cooler and light rain now, working on getting beans in, 2nd cutting haylage off when weather allows. A wierd year in a lot of ways. We had a few small tornados in the area with minor damage. I sure feel for the folks in the South that were hit so hard.

yep,been hot here in stanly co.though apparently not as hot as some are dealin with.. no breeze at all is when its rough on me..kinda takes the enjoyment outa the evening walk in the woods..

I was travelling on Memorial day in Co. and it was 26 degrees on Grand Mesa,just east of Grand Junction Co. I about froze todeath with a 40 mph crosswind all day in Co. Then I hit Texas and Ok. the next day and nearly fried. But thats what happens when your traveling by motorcycle.    Digger

High 90s forecast for today and 101 for tomorrow. Hey, it's June and that's just another summer day around here, nothing unusual at all.  That sure beats when it was -3 earlier this year to my way of thinking.

Here in West Texas we had seven days over 100 degrees in April, broke a hundred year old record one day with 109.  So far every day in June has ben around 100 degrees.

We have been in a drought condition for several years, the hot weather is taking it's toll on what is left in the lakes, if conditions don't improve, might not be enough water left to wash your neck come August.  It is also making it tough on wildlife, and the floods alonge the Mississippi have driven the price of corn to the point we have to cut back on our supplemental feeding programs.

I guess all we can do is pray for better times.

I agree man... we can't get rain in San Antonio.  Storms just don't reach here.  4 inches this whole year.  Last night the radar showed storms approaching from the east and the west.  They all died out or went north.  Dry, dry, dry here.  Already in Stage II water restrictions.  I'm afraid it won't rain here unless and until we get a TS or hurricane to hit the Texas gulf coast.

4" almost sounds like a flood to me. Try .04" for the year and it took 5 separate little sprinkles to get that. We have had no significant rain since the first week of last September. Last time I can remember conditions like these was in 1953 when it finally rained on the south plains in late July. Elmer Kelton, the author from Andrews,TX wrote a novel about it titled "The Time It Never Rained".

For Thursday we are supposed to hit 71 F. That would be more then 10 deg above what we have had for weeks. And we have  R A I N  and more R A I N !! The few apple trees I have are still in bloom. Bees can't operate in IFR condition 'cause their heinees get soaked.

Just got back from a hunting trip up north along the Haul Road.  Temp was 85 degrees, that's not normal for Alaska.  I was wearing Camo clothing, that stuff sure gets hot in the midnight sun.  Strange to cool off I would walk to a shaded area and lie on the ice along the stream.  Slabs of ice a foot thick, still along most streams in the shade.  Fires every where.  Came back early before I the road got cut off by fires.

Looking at another week of NO rain.  Just getting hotter and hotter.  104 yesterday... looks like the next ten days are all supposed to be 100 or higher with no rain predicted.  I'm in the running for a job in Belgium.  Only 75 and rainy in Brussels today.  Hope I get that job...

Upper 90s las week and week before, mid to upper 80s this week Back in the 90s for next week. What garden survived needs rain. Got a tenth in of rain the past 19 days. Dry here. POWDERMAN.

It's Junuary up here in the Great Northwest.  We had a couple days of summer last week and the temperature amazingly pushed up into the eighties.  Some of the locals went a little crazy with the heat; they were seen frolicking in 60 degree water and wearing very skimpy clothing.  No problem now, though, the temperature of the air has returned to equilibrium with the water.
