I posted this in the gunsmithing section also . But maybe you guys can help me out here also.
I have a Rem M592 5mm rimfire the extractor broke luckly I was able to fine a couple of spare extractors. My problem is I am not sure how to replace /disassemble the extractor. I suspect this is probly the same bolt as used on other remington rimfires. There is a pin just behind the extractor that I think needs to be knocked out?? Old extractor slides out new slides in?? Any of you guys done these before ? Does this sound right?? I tried tapping it out easy but it did not move do you think it comes out just one way? It does not appear to need to come out one way.
