Sometimes, like yesterday and today, I get reminded that Great Britain is a part of Europe.
Tom Ridge wants other countries airlines, flying into the US, to have armed sky marshalls as we do. It turns out that Britain has been doing this, apparently in secret, for sometime now but it has become public knowledge I assume because of this request.
They were interviewing pilots and others in Britain on FOX news and one of them said, "I don't want to see a gun fight on an airplane".
Maybe people who say that the attention span of individuals has been diminished by growing up in a MTV world are right. What do these dunderheads think is going to happen to them if armed terrorists get on a plane with them and take it over without resistance? To say nothing of what's going to happen to people on the ground.
The whole country needs a collective bitch-slap if this is their attitude to jar them back to reality.
