Patty's .357
« on: June 16, 2011, 07:45:53 AM »
I just sent one of my spare frames in to H&R for a .357 barrel for Patty.  They said they were in stock, so we'll see how long it takes.  Chances are slim running one down here.  We've got a shoot in Grayling, MI the 5, 6 an 7th of August.  I hope it's back in time for her.  She's got her choice of synthetic or pallet wood for the stock and scope or red dot.  I have anything she'll want to put on it.  I doubt if she'll want to take it to Maxi, or have the barrel chopped, but at least I'll have mine back. ;D :D

My wife did the same to me, she took my marlin 35 from me so I had to buy her one, sometimes I think they plan it that way.

Pete,

I hope the new 357 Mag is a shooter or you may not get your Maxi back. :P

Sorry Pete, it's just everytime I buy a cool gun my wife gets it.  I just picked up a stainless steel 5 shot concealed carry revolver that I don't think will be mine for very long.   :'(   Did you order the 22" 357 barrel or the 18.75" with the open sights?

I ordered the 22 inch.  She seems to like longer barrels, and wants a scope or a red dot.  If she wants it shortened, we can always get it done. And yes, I've heard that song before: "That looks like a Patty rifle."

DP, You should get here to da U.P., and I ought to get to Montana....lets do both.

CW, FAQs??  Wats dat??

Well, out of the fire with one and back in with another.  Patty and I were at a wedding and reception this afternoon.  We were talking with a friend and fellow gun addict when Patty said  "You should see the sweet little 32-20 I just got."

O.K. coaches, what now??  Ignore it or get ahold of Larry Trotter?  Geeze, is there an end somewhere in sight?

Pete,

This isn't a problem.  Since Patty wants your 32-20 you are entitled to a replacement and tomorrow is Dads Day so you get a really good replacement.   Call Larry as soon as you decide what chambering you want and make sure to splurge on the furniture & optics. ;D
