Big bore blanks

This fits into the for-what-its-worth category.

A friend just moved from my neighborhood to Ft. Sill.  He left me a handful of 105mm blank ctgs (expended).

On the side of the brass case which is a little over 6" long, is stenciled:

Polish it yes.  The tone when they ring is so clear and mellow that these will end up a chimes.

But I did think it interesting that the charge is almost square (as long as it is in diameter) and that a blank for a 105 (about 4") took 1.7 pounds of powder.  Right much loud.
