DNZ scope mount
« on: June 15, 2011, 11:02:28 AM »
Anybody using this mount.  It is a one piece aluminum mount. Pricey, but looks very sturdy.  Any feedback appreciated.

I have several of them ..  love them ,virtually eliminates scope ring alignment problems but buy them on ebay...a lot cheaper...Talley makes one similar to the DNZ...Dednutz

I ordered one of the Talley lightweight ring mounts when Cabelas had em on sale, it was waaaay too high for my taste, I sent it back.  :-\

I have one too, good quality, strongly built. MAN do they have long screws!!! Machinists they are not!! No more than twice diameter for depth of threads is a formula but there's is like 3/8 to 1/2" thread depth with small # 6/8 screws!!  But that's minor complaint.

Lilt tim I much prefer my scopes be as close to barrel as possible. These mounts are kinda tall. But will work with the problem scopes people like IE the Bushnell line. Specifically the Trophy. Good scopes but overly large controls cause you to have to mount higher ruining good shooting form.

I kept mine, it's on one of my Maxi's with a new Redfield 2x7 scope.
