Getting to go shoot this week-end
« on: December 24, 2003, 03:52:41 PM »
Father-in-law passed away last Jan 3.  Looked like we were going to Mother-in-law's for the holiday.   Got pushed back till next week so I can shoot this week-end.  Would hate to have gone two months without a CAS match.

It could be worse pard. I myself haven't shot since the 3rd week of October. Looks like this weekend is out too, cuz of weather and of course holiday traffic, but I will return. I actually have thought about not shooting so often this year and make more big events and less weekly ones. I have already sent $ in for a couple of annuals I don't miss and I am trying to fit in a nice big road trip, maybe to HOW. I don't do Winter Range, EOT and events of that size, but I do like a good 4 day event for sure. I have also promised to shoot a couple matches in Southern Cal this year too.

How about this being worse. Have not been able to shoot at all this year due to off and on illness   Now I find out that I have to be very careful during the summer heat for heat exhaustion   I have decided that I'm not going to get any older if this is my golden years :)

Howdy pard, still hope to meet up with you if you make any of the regulator shoots. I hope to be able to make some of them this coming year. :D

Lawdawg,
You can still shoot and have some fun in the summer. I might try and make that Guns of the Timberline over by Eureka this summer. You get the shade of the redwoods over there and maybe even some coastal breezes. I have talked with a couple of folks that have shot it and they had a good time. Camping over there should be great.
I guess my first biggy this year will be Plainfield Raid and then High Sierra and after that I am open to some new annuals.
This year you need to come down and visit at Plainfield even if you don't shoot it. You will know who I am right off and I am anxious to shake your paw. I might not shoot RCRs monthly matches and shoot Jamestown instead on the first Sundays.
