Not completely but sadly not far from it. Dunno what happened as there used to be a fair bit of posting here.

Graybeard my theory is that the recession caused people to stop going into gunshops and posting in forums due to it's an impulse buying hobby and people now are stingy with credit cards. If they go in a gun forum they may buy something. A large part of our economy has simply vanished. I stayed home this Mem weekend for the 1st time in 20 years due to gas prices. I know this isn't the place but we have to change presidents in 2012 and get an expert in economic matters in the white house. America is dying. I literally live in fear that in late 2012 I will be homeless. I'm unemployed now going on 9 mos. I'm 54 and never have seen the economy this bad and I thought the recession of 79-82 was bad.
Everything I see has fallen off. EVERYTHING! I think that anyone who emotionally voted for Obama condemned millions of Americans into bankruptsy, homelessness ans suicide. Some people just shouldn't vote.

I don't usually come on this forum but stopped by today. I don't see how it could be dead when every topic on page 1 has a new post flag on it. Or is that just on my computer because I have never read any before?

Anyway as long as there are used winchesters & marlins I can't see myself ever buying a henry........... ;)

I'd say it's dead, since the Henry CF leverguns are amply covered in the GBO Leverguns Section, and the Henry RF levers, pumps, & boltguns in the Rimfire Rifles Section.

FWIW, there's even an entire website, dedicated to a Henry Forum, that's not very active, either:

Well lets warm it up a bit eh?  The folks at Henry are consistently producing firearms that work!  AND they are affordable.
I've been developing a line of sights specially for Henry Rifles.  See our Henry page at www.skinnersights.com

BTW...  I shot some of the Henry .22 LR's lately and on the 50 foot range they were shooting one hole groups using Fed. American Eagle HP ammo and Skinner Sights.

I used the AccuBolt (during prototype testing ) to help a local rancher by reducing his gopher population.  The reliability and accuracy were outstanding.

Thank You Henry Repeating Arms for keeping America Shooting!

The nicest people I ever meet are shooters!

Overall I think I've seen fewer negative comments posted about Henry rifles than any other brand. I've seen a lot of positive comments.

Being currently financially embarrassed I can barely afford my 'tender habit, so a new lever rifle is not in my near future.   :-[

I don't own a Henry so I never stopped in.  I'd hate to see a forum die out, although there are some that seem seasonal.  My personal opinion of Henry rifles is good overall, they are just not handled locally.

Graybeard my theory is that the recession caused people to stop going into gunshops and posting in forums due to it's an impulse buying hobby and people now are stingy with credit cards. Zen there is only as much recession as you choose to participate in.  Yes there is by some accounts an unemployment rate of up to 17% That means that 83% of the rest of us are fine and buying all the toys we want.  Me I bought 12 acres and a 2,300 sq ft house, a couple cannons, a Motorcycle...
My point is if everyone thinks they are in bad financial shape then they are, if they think they are Ok, maybe not great, then they find ways to get the toys they want.  Maybe pick up odd jobs, maybe people are waking up and not using plastic but barder or cash for purchases.  This may hurt an over inflated economy (market bubble) but is good in the long term for the individual.

if I had the loot, a pump and a lever would be purchased.
they are american made and from what I hear they stand behind their products.

I hope it's not dead! I just joined today!
I will also have a look at the leverguns section.
