We had a chow but it barked alot.  I didn't like it much, but it may have been freezer burned.

Thanks for providing that link.  Its been a long time since I have had a big pot of beans with some Chow Chow and Corn Bread.  Dang now I am going to have to make a big batch of both!

Hi Friends

I knew that someone on this specific list would have a great recipe. Thanks a million. I love Chow Chow with just about any cooked dried beans and many other foods.

Thanks Don Jackson  Remington Magnum/Ultramag

I have relatives in Upper Peninsula Michigan and they have chow chow up there but it's totally different than the recipes I saw on the link. Their's has cauliflower in it and it's more of a mustard sauce.

I had planned to add some Cauliflower. So how about getting their recipe and share it along with all these great recipes.

1 head of cabbage
12 green tomatoes
24 banana peppers
2 onions
1 tsp red pepper flakes
About 4-5 tbs salt
1 qt distilled white vinegar
1 qt water
For heat I slip cayenne peppers in the jar whole. 1 is medium 2 is hot.

I just shred it all up in a food processor, fill the jars up, top off with the diluted vinegar and can.
