finished this to day its a green river skinner cut down to a nessmuk style knife all done with a file so i did not loose the hardness of the blade so it still holds an edge,the scales are west Australian spalted jarrah the sheath is made from south American 6 to 7 oz leather very cheap to get here and dam good leather,it came out better than i thought.

That turned out really nicely; both the knife and the sheath.  Make good skinning/kitchen knives.  The one I made, last I hear, was down in Brazil on some missionary's belt.

Nice job! Ive thought about doing the same if I stumble across a skinner that isnt priced like an 'artifact' around here. Ive been a fan of G.W.S. for about 20yrs. and threw together my own 'triad', even 'commissioned' a talented friend to make a knife, though it is not as thin as I believe yours is. Mine is a serious woods knife, but truth is, Id would use it more if it was more kitchen friendly as yours appears to be.
